The UK has mandated EV sales targets for vehicle manufacturers, leading to the end of sale of petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2035. Meanwhile legislation has recently passed through the UK Parliament that will allow the operation of automated vehicles without a safety driver on British roads. Matthew Smith, Head of International at the UK automotive trade body The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, will discuss how the UK is transitioning to zero emissions vehicles, and how automated vehicles will open up new business opportunities.
